With less than a week before I move in, I have just launched my course fundraising efforts.
But my first financial support came as a surprise from small talk at the neighborhood pool. A lovely woman asked what my plans were for this year and I replied YWAM at the Orlando base. Her face brightened up to a massive smile and informed me that her granddaughter went to the same one 2 years back! She further said how excited she was for me!
I dried off and headed back to the house, telling my grandparents that I met a lady who knew about my YWAM course.
A few minutes later as I was sitting outside, a car pulled into the drive. A hand reached out to wave me closer. This gem of a lady passed me a blank envelope as she didn't even know my name.
It was a moment of unexpected kindness, one that reminded me that God’s ways of providing are so much better than our own ideas.
